George's Story
This is the story of George Smit, a Parkinson's Disease sufferer for over 13 years. He shares his story on how MagnaPool has changed his life.
"I have one side effect of Parkinson’s happily now under control. For the moment that is, because I have found that every year something changes so I can’t be too optimistic.
RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME. For me it meant that my legs, normally my left leg, twitched every 15 seconds (yes I have timed them!!!) making sleep impossible. Bad sleep means one, then two sleeping tablets a night with all the attendant problems, & as any Parkinson's Disease sufferer will tell you “Good sleep = Less severe Parkinson's Diseases symptoms”.
It is amazing how much better my Parkinson's Disease symptoms are after a great night’s sleep. I now sleep every night , no sleeping tablets. 9 hours a night.
If you are anything like me, then you have tried every exotic, natural supplement, often made in the USA and sold by friends of friends at a hell of a cost. A bottle of wine does more good & is a lot cheaper and certainly tastes miles better.
Hands up for those who have tried Chinese herbal teas? They seem to work on the principle that anything that smells that bad, has to be good for you. I am a natural skeptic, & when told that additional magnesium in our diets can solve restless leg syndrome & give me a good night’s sleep, well I did what any skeptic does – I Googled it. I was very surprised by the amount of medical evidence for the benefits of magnesium. May I suggest you Google magnesium deficiency symptoms & restless leg syndrome.
Of course there is a catch, the amount of magnesium people with Parkinson's need is virtually impossible to absorb orally. But then, to cut a long story short, I heard about a mineral pool that uses magnesium instead of salt. Kind of like a huge (nicotine) patch, but with magnesium. It absorbed right into the cells, it cut out out the middleman by not taking it orally.
So what is the secret to combating my restless leg syndrome? It a simple, daily half an hour swim in my MagnaPool, with its primary ingredient being magnesium. I also take 2 x 500mg of any magnesium supplement (normally the cheapest) to cover all options.
Have a good night’s sleep, I will."
